| FEELER- '93 318i mixed bag (56k warning) note: pictures are larger than expected, if these are too large per forum policy, then i'll link to them instead. apologies in advance. Hello, I'm looking for opinions on what sort of price would be fair for a 93 318i 5speed manual in this condition if i chose to sell it. Alright, good news: I've taken the best mechanical care of this car as I possibly could. It is very well mechanically maintained, and runs very strong. I believe I have all receipts of all major work and most oil change/services. Always changed the oil with 15w40 pennzoil or rotella every 3k-5k miles. The car has been driving spiritedly now and then, but not stupidly; never hit the rev limiter, never raced, etc. I've done the best I can with the exterior, but it is nowhere near perfect. Bad news: The exterior has several blemishes. A few spots of ... something that looks like spackle that could most likely be fixed by a detailer(unsure, though). There are several spots of scratch/keying damage. One of the rocker panels was bent when someone attempted to use it to support a jack. the back was bumped with a low speed backup bump in a parking lot, so there is a minor paint peel. I also had a low speed swipe take out my side plastic bits, which would be replaced before selling the car. there is a bit of a paint scrape from it, which would be fixed as well. the swipe left a dent in the door, but it was removed by a VW dealership. The passenger side foglight is cracked; i've patched it to keep water out, but I'd replace it before selling. The interior is horrible. The driver's side a-pillar has broken clips. Both B-pillars are cracked and some pieces have fallen apart completely. The driver's side seat is coming apart at the interior seams(leather seats). All of the leather is very dirty, but can most likely be cleaned up. I don't know about the ripping and damage. I believe there are a few poked holes in the back seat, as well. The carpeting can probably be shampooed clean. The glovebox is sagging, as per usual in the e36s. The center console(ebrake and shifter area) is rather dirty and sticky; I don't know if it is salvageable. The segment with the clock/temp display and the switch/lighter bit have broken and are barely supported. Specs: -212,400~ miles, no rebuild. -VERY good condition tires, less than 300 miles on the fronts, less than 5000 on the rears; Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s -Tires are on a set of rims, not perfect, from a 2003 330cic. 16" 5 spokes. -Front Windshield is NEW. -Front Struts are about 1 year old, the rears are about 4 years old. -Rear lower control arms are NEW. -Front control arm bushings are NEW Modifications: -Conforti chip from Turner Motorsports. Had to be soldered in. -H&R Sport Cup Kit. Very low, but actually PROPERLY adjusted. -KMAC Front adjustable camber kit -Front Control arm bushings replaced with M3 bushings. -Adjustable Lower control arm. These were to dial out the negative camber in the rear. -OEM X-brace -Umnitza Angel eyes (predators) with euro lights(glass front) and smoked taillights. -Alpina Radio with ipod ready connection in glovebox -Memphis audio dual 10" subs in the rear. pretty cheap, but they're okay. Not blown or anything stupid. 500w amp. All service work was done at Precision Autoworks in Raleigh, NC, and the suspension work was done at Korman Autoworks. A full alignment was performed last week, and everything is fantastic. The weakest link of the suspension at this point is probably the engine. At this point, the cost of repairing the interior and exterior seems nowhere near worth it. It makes a fun inexpensive car while I'm in school, but I can take the bus to university, so being able to get a different car with worse gas mileage wouldn't make a huge difference. I've owned the car 6 years and have put on a LOT of highway miles; at least half of the 112k I've driven in it. I recently calculated the MPG and I am getting an average of 26mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. I get about 520 miles to the tank on interstate or nonhilly highway driving. On the way from Raleigh, NC to Johnson City, TN, through the hwy 321 mountains, I still get about 34 mpg. I don't drive slow, either, so these could be improved. ![]() Pictures to follow. May load slow; my hosted site is down temporarily, so this is loading from my poor ultra 10 at home. the good ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the bad ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not sure what a price would be.
