conversion is complete!!!

so i've finally finished the convertions on the car! m20b23 to m20b25.
goes alot smoother and running far bit harder! really happy with the change!

some additions i did to the engine are: lightened the flywheel, heavy duty clutch, cleaned the injectors, changed oil sump rocker cover and put the extractors from the old engine to the new, painted block, intake manafold and other parts.

interesting first time project. if anyone is interested in doing the conversion some headaches i came across were:
1) the fuse box needed to be changed (just the c101 connector) had to be sent away for auto electrician to do.
2) trying to get the fan off can take time.
3) trying to slide the engine into the gear box from your garage....... took about 1 day. HUGE PAIN..... no room for error.
4) the m20b23 radiator doesn't work with the b25...... you need to b25 hoses and radiator..... not really what i expected.

the misses helped with a far bit as well..... good apprentice... she helped paint engine and assested in dropping the engine in. shown in the pic

whilst the engine was getting worked on i change brakes and discs.

really impressed with myself considering im not a mechanic and did it all from my garage...... no dodgy wog jobs done either!!

anyone with any questions on doing the same project feel free to ask!!

depends on how much ur willing to spend. give ur injectors a good clean and you'll noice a little. extractors i've found help. lightening ur flywheel feels better.

its better if you bore it out and polish it, along with polishing your intake manifold, then you'll notice a big difference, and if you chip it then you'll notice that your wasting a lot more gas too! haha, but it all pays off. but remember that any changes that you make on the air flow will be limited by your Vane airflow meter.
let me know if you want more info on that.
