My car is almost finished and ready go head to the track itself. Maybe its only a little E30 with a m52 S/C but thats all i can afford, let alone big workshops doing the work for me. but thanks for asking instead of just accusing me of things.

And i wonder why DTM has gone down hill
Don't be disingenuous, you're the guy who bought Ben's old supercharger and you hang with him. The thinly veiled digs and animosity is not lost on me or anyone else who has been around here for more than 6 months.

Maybe some time in the future when you've grown up a bit you'll realise being smart about people and things you have no knowledge about doesn't make you big.

Wow! You guys are all pretty angry; Surely I'd have to be an absolute king of something to spawn such jealousy and anger amongst these ranks.....

How about we start another bash up Ben thread and not further pollute this one that was quite innocently replied to by myself with the intention of helping someone on the forum?

Go here.....

Well Ben, you've been helpful to me in the past which I appreciated. However you do exhibit some poor behaviours from time to time which get people off side. It certainly gets me offside.

Here's what I'm talking about:

+ You tend to be competitive, maybe over competitive. The first time I met you in 2002 you were aggressive in telling me you would "take me out" in your E36 4 door 318 within 12 months. There is no need for that sort of thing, we each enjoy our hobby as we see fit. Concentrate on your own fun.

+ You tend to overstate your involvement at the ALS workshop. I think Dave hit the nail on the head in another post above. It's great you are really into your hobby, but I think you go over the line and lead some to believe you are something that you aren't.

+ You buy into the Sydney workshop wars. The rivalry between ALS, Peak Performance and Bavariacars that existed in 2002 has largely died off as founding members have moved out of the scene. Raima was really the instigator of the wars as far as I can tell, and he chose to leave the whole scene long ago. Let it go. Remember when you were heavily on the supercharger side of the super vs turbo charging wars? Times change.

+ You make snide remarks. Like I said in another post above, this does not make you big. No mater how subtle or clever you think you are being, it is quite obvious and childish.

Those are my thoughts. I'm not saying I am perfect or that I don't have bad behaviours from time to time, but the above is what I'd be thinking about if I were you.

You too have been quite plesant to me in the past which is why I was quite happy to offer you assistance on many things and in a few cases go well out of my way to assist you with your inquiries. I won't go into this further here to uphold confidentiality....

6 year is quite a while Kenny - many things change as the years go by. An over-enthusiastic 18 y/o isn't one to try and hook into a fairly sizable financial gamble based on what was largely intended as a joke.... Does that make me more competitive than you?

For the record I sure do concentrate on my own fun; I involve myself at great lengths in all forms of circuit racing (or super sprinting if you will). A fairly sizable error in judgment (as you earlier pictured) wasn't enough to put me off what I consider to be an enjoyable hobby. For a self-funded hobbiest this isn't the easiest of jobs after an incident like that. I did also come out to WSID twice as you were encouraging others to get involved and "give it a go".

My involvement with a workshop isn't for public consumption as you've preached many times to me about yours. I think you'll recall the Infinitas branded ASA CF blower kits that you were pedaling hard on this very forum some time back... Double standards here perhaps?

Wow, this keeps getting better! I have absolutely no problem with any other workshops in Sydney doing their thing. What I do get frustrated with is their customers often preaching mis-truths back to the greater forum public. Everyone has opinions, these opinions tend to change as time goes by. Forums are supposed to be a place for knowledge transfer to happen; for people to discuss different ideas if you will. The things that many people tell you often aren't gospel, you yourself have told me this many times yet you seem to not accept your own advise. There are many many ways to cook an egg! Getting beaten down in flames just because I make an offer of knowledge isn't really cool now is it...

I'm not big and I've never insinuated that I'm particularly intelligent or good at anything really. I just hate to leave all the games to the king of them! Perhaps its just differing senses of humour or the randomly appearing psychological defect or two, this has already addressed this in another post.

I'm certainly not perfect, none of us are! A large percentage of liquid, some bone and flesh - if the wind blows strong enough it can knock you over. I thank you for your critique... I guess it would be pointless of me to make any further comments as you are clearly above me (seemingly in fact most of us here). You win, you can have what you clearly desire to be your forum.

For what its worth, I (any many others) keep asking about your car as we'd actually like to see it work right and blitz all competitors in its class. As a keen participant in the local tweaked bmw world, there is nothing worse than seeing a project so pretty with so much merit and effort seemingly left to rot!

Yes you did and that's great, there aren't many here who are game to have a go, even when they have much vaunted builds. Well done.

I can see why you might feel that way, however to me it's different. I never stated I worked for the workshop in question, I just posted information you can read on the website.

That's fair enough, you should address any misinformation as you see it. I don't think anyone would have an issue with that.

I agree there are many different ways and it would be boring if we all did things the same way. Where have I said otherwise or tried to shout down someone else's opinion?

It's not like that at all, if I felt like that I wouldn't have made the post above. There's no need to take your bat and ball and go home.

And I am happy to give information to people who genuinely want to know. When there's nothing to say, I don't say anything!

I may be wrong but it seems to me that sometimes questions asked are pointed, perhaps I've read into things too much.

am I missing something here? the only places I have ever seen making a claim of XX hp increase are generic chip places (such as the brand Ian had) and all they do is add X amount to timing and pull X amount of fuel from standard tune, completely different to a custom tune on the dyno for each individual car that is being talked about here...
