E21 Suspension

Hi there,

I have been looking around for some lowered springs to suit my '81 E21 318i and have heard that they are interchangeable with certain models of Commodore. Can anyone vouch for this?

I was told strut inserts from a commodore may fit, but I have a 323i which has the larger front struts than the 318i. Not sure about springs though.
Pedders etc do springs for E21's.

They quoted me $175 for the front pair and I think $150 for the rears. (323i)
Lovells was the other company that has them also.

Shocks are harder to get though. Bavauto in the U.S. do bilsteins for about $110 each US$ plus postage. BMW Parts and BMW Accessories | Bavarian Autosport

Sweet, thanks. Did you end up getting the Pedders? I'm just trying to suss out what reduction in ride-height they give.

No, I actually got some lovells 2nd hand. I think most lower the car about 30-40mm.
