Cheapest place to get a Inspection II done?

my car is up for Inspection I @ 60k but i think ill do an inspection II

Anyone know the best/cheapest place to get this done??

Ill be supplying my own:

Spark Plugs, Oil, MicroFilter, Oil Filter, Wiper Blades, Air Filter

Just need someone to carry out the work/inspection and top up other things as required (brakes not required either)

Not BMW, that's for sure. Didn't you get your brakes done by ALS? Im sure they could do it.

Yep I did. I'm waiting on a price excluding parts

I just ordered all the parts from Circle BMW - alot cheaper even with shipping! I also had to order my level sensors/wiring and bits and pieces..

Any competent mechanic can do it. BeeEms is a BMW specialist in Hornsby, they do good work, reasonably priced.

you could try Bromspec at brookvale if thats closer than hornsby for you. i have delt with them in the past and he was ok. price was ok as well. or there is a dude at st leonards who is apparently very good but is expensive.

Yeah Hornsby is too far away. Peter Mabey is in St Leonards, but yeah, too costly.

maybe just phone a quality mechanic and ask if they do bimmers. god knows half of sydney have them these days. especially if your supplying your own stuff its not like they can put the wrong stuff in. they only problem will be a bmw mech may know of little things to check particular to your model that a regular mech may miss.

do you have up to date service books? this will indicate what what was done last and what will need doing this time. ie usually coolant change every 2nd inspection ii.

oh and a regular mech may not be able to cancel your service lights, check on this if you phone around.

why not just do the simple stuff yourself to save money and just get a mech to do the stuff you may not feel comfortable about. oil change, air filter, check battery, tyres, check coolant/ ps steer levels are all simple stuff. dont know about microfilter and probably get a mech to do spark plugs, check dif oil ect.
