Fog?

Anyone know why this is? one headlight, brand new, one is used. Lens are both 'as new' after having the used one all repaired nicely.

The projector itself in the used light looks foggy, the new projector headlight looks nice.

im guessing maybe moisture build up, especially if its been appart.

hmm.. I dont think the light is sealed, other than the cap on the rear to insert the bulb. Think a heatgun in there would dry it up?

hmmm... when a light (ur used 1) gets hot it can sometimes leave a white mist stuck onto the inside of the glass lens, but if was cleaned as new then....... :-S

look at the colour and transparency of the lense itself.

I dont think there is a way to clean it, the projector/shrouds are screwed in, inside out, with allen key style bolts with a pin in the center. Ive never seen a tool to remove the screws!

Im going to try putting a stack of silica gel inside the lamp, behind the rubber boot that covers the bulb and see if that does the trick :P
