330i SMG swap

Hey all,new here on the forums,which seem to like to ban my overseas IP address.

I'm considering a 330i as the family car (i'm the go-to-guy for my family's automotive purchases,hahaha) and in Singapore they seem to have been available with an SMG gearbox.

How much would it cost to swap over from an auto to a SMG? Has anyone done something like that in Perth,or knows where i might get some info?

Hey bud,
They have SMG in 325 and 330 over here aswell.
I would steer clear from it though. Either go proper auto or proper manual. In the late model E46 330s, you can get 6spd manuals aswell.
I think the SMG transmission in the 330s is SMG I which had tonnes of issues. SMG II (like in the E46 M3s) is supposed to be decent, but even then I've heard it has some issues.

The SMG in the late model E46 325/330 is not the same as the SMG II in the M3. Probably better off with the auto or manual.
