| Advice please on car Sale. Hi, my car has been for sale now for a while... and i personally think it is a good buy. Overall the car is in good condition and drives beautifully, I am selling it simply because I do not need a car at the moment or in the near future. Just hoping if i could get some tips as to why its not selling? is it cause it has a few mod's? or cause im asking too much (i think its a great price)? if you dont mind taking some time and just letting me know what you think. Details are Below (Pictures Attached) SOLD White Black leather interior in good condition Angel eyes Lowered - Koni springs Hartage Lip attached to back bumper M3 front bar (damaged) Rear Diff. back exhaust 18inch 7 series style rims Clarion Head Unit & Amp & Sub (Price does not include these) 161,000kms Location - Bondi Just had major Service 5 Months Rego Left Inspections welcome Thanks Last edited by DD97 : 02-07-2008 at 03:15 PM. |

| Hey Dom, You should try writing the ad to push the cars positive points, and not point out flaws. Leave it with me today and I'll write you something up |

| Try and bring it back to standard if you have the original parts. A lot of people avoid modified cars like the black plague due to a preconception that they have been thrashed.

| I'll be putting mine up on there in the coming months. As a warning, it will be advertised for around half the price you are asking. 1995 318is. Few more kms, and manual, but white. They are coming down and down in price. These things happen. Either wait for the buyer or cut the price for a quick sale. |

| As everyone has mentioned its hard to sell a car that has been modded. You will only sell to a certain number of people / group who would appreciate the mods (as long as they are simple and clean). Try and make your ad simple and effective. No need to waffle on and write in simple English. It took 8 months to sell my 1974 FJ40 Landcruiser which had quite a few mods yet it took only 3 weeks to sell my E36 323 Sedan as it was shmick stock and clean.

| hey nice car with very sensible mods i think. Im not sure why u cant sell because the mods arnt that over the top or anything. as to the price according to redbook (prices that car yards/used car sales are often ued) it is in the right price range Red Book AU : Your site for New and Used vehicle prices . i hope this has helped and hang in there!! i had a 98 lancer for sale for about 9 months with a very good price on it but it didnt sell for a while because there were a lot of the same car on the market at the time and some just put very low prices for a quick sale mine was always getting left (lol) but if u have the time to wait it out u will eventually find a buyer!! best of luck!! |

| Hi i recently traded in my 1999 E36 318is, i put everything to stock except for BBS RC 18" + Angel Eyes + Xenons, even put back the stock head unit. I managed to get c. $16,200 for the car however it had done only 109,000km. If i were you i would not bother mentioning that it has angel eyes or a Hartage lip as non BMW people don't know what it is... also that stuff will be difficult to sell as parts, at least in my experience—i did not have any takers on this forum for any of my gear other than a Rockford amp. Given the interest you are getting is so low i would either hold on and wait for a trade in (negotiate a better price off the car you are buying to be incorporated in the trade in) or you will need to lower the price... having a car sitting around that you are not using is no good to anyone, and prices are not going to go up. Best bet is carsales (as one off fee), and just keep lowering your price everyweek. The service is pretty costly on these cars which does not help. Also if your wheels are OEM you might be able to trade them into a Bob Jane in Edgecliff at a premium... but i am not 100% sure from you post they are... the only "obvious" mods from your pic are the wheels and the headlight eyebrows—the M3 mirros look kinda stock.
