Good luck with that lol. I called ASV about black door panels for my car. They said they would get back to me, they never did, which to me meant they never had what I needed. Give them a call back and see whats happening.

Hey there Kris .... I think when you called back you spoke to somebody else and they thought you said plain black type .
But I checked properly from the beginning + all 5 other branchs before getting back to you. When you deal with ASV you should always deal with only one person + get there name , especially here as there is over 80 employees here in Sydney branch alone.

And to be honest with you when chasing small parts like you are , most people wont even give you the time of day >but I did< . $95 part = minimum 2 hours >$35 per hour< checking in branchs + emails all over Australia people writing the email , receiving them , converting to check a part paper work so pickers can look for part. Mind you we receive over 1000 enquires a day from all over Australia including our own 5 branchs . Considering the work involved that I under took and authorized on the off chance that maybe I could help you , it probably cost ASV more then $100 in labour and time , I think you got pretty good service if you ask me , don’t you ?
Don’t get me wrong there is plenty of room for improvement here , but as I explained to this is a very large company and small things get done when they can fit them in if you know what I mean.

I've dealt with big companies from the US and they get back to me the same day on even the smallest part. Don't you think you guys could do the same? I called ASV about one month ago after a set of door panels for a E46 coupe. Not a small part by any means, the gentleman I spoke to said he would get back to me and I left him my name and number. I never heard from him again. I wouldn't call that good customer service. Stop making excuses and improve your customer service, otherwise I'll just have to continue sourcing my parts from overseas.

I don't understand that response .. isn't ASV in business to sell parts like that? The response seems to say that ASV is doing a customer a big favour by selling parts to us! I don't understand that at all, unfortunately it's a typical Australian attitude.

can anyone shed any light .. am I missing something?

First of all don't think i have any control over how things get done at ASV, I am a Sales Consultant in a call centre. I am very experienced in euro parts as far as what fits what , mechincal , panels , price's and so on. And we do have sales meetings every month and all sales staff have input to what they think will and can make the place work better.
That doesn't mean anything happens though , but management is working on getting things to run better with a totally new system .

I do agree with you that the sales person who you delt with should have got back to you and should have got back to you the same day.
Keep in mind though personaly i take approx 100 calls a day just myself , I make about 75 calls a day calling people back + chasing parts etc . You do the math on average 3 mins a call.
Im not making excuse's , I dont need to, the fact is there is only so much a person can do.

I didn't say your experience with your door trims was good service anywhere in what i said , I simply gave you a small insight of how the company works.

Im also not defending anyone but myself and maybe a few others , don't get me wrong we have some dud's working for us no doubt . And you obviously got one .
If you want call me , I will give you good service and won't bullshit you like others , but don't think i give a shit if you take take you business oversea's.

In business to make money .

Part Chase Syd branch cost = $30

Part Chase OZ wide cost = $75

If we have part most i can sell is $95
