Bluetooth in E46?

BMW E46 E53 E39 X5 X3 Assist To Bluetooth Conversion

Not a bad link, my car has the fin! Does anyone know if non bluetooth equipped cars come with the bits and pieces inside to retrofit this?

My steering wheel has the buttons and so on...Would be trying to use a Nokia N95 with it..

I have the bluetooth, what a waste of time... Seems to work for everyone's phones but mine, so i guess I shouldn't be using a PDA

Its all there, but scrolling through the names in alpabetical order on the screen, it misses some names eg:

You start at A, scroll thru and get to D, and then some more A's pop up again. Not sure if its the car, the phone or me.

Seems I need a ULF module, a Bluetooth antenna and a wiring harness if its not above my CD Changer. I need to open my boot, remove the lining and take a squizz. The microphone also might need to be present , the car has the cover or what looks to be a micrphone but not sure if its actually present behind that grill...

Once thats in, it just 'works' apparently using the R/T and voice button on the wheel.

Anyone else confirm?

Bluetooth works fine with my Blackberry
