Fan belt prices

Does anyone know prices and part numbers on the belt that goes around the alternator on a 318is e36 its the 1.8 twincam

i know the part number: 11-28-1-437-880-M21
Belt for Alternator, Water Pump and Power Steering, 6K X 1733, 318i/is/iC/ti w/ M44 engine

thats alright. i was hoping it wouldnt be too much i was expecting over $100
esp. when iv been told the clutch will be 1200

its the first repair iv had to do on it

What he meant was it is just as easy to quote the part number to the dealer and ask for a price...

Ring Repco, Bursons, AutoParts, etc and they'll be able to help. From memory it'll be about $20 from Repco...not always the case, but buying most OEM consumables is a major waste of money (eg. $85 for an OEM fuel filter vs $28 for an identical part, just packaged in a different box, $125 for brake pads vs $70, etc). Remember that BMW outsource manufacturing for most parts and you're paying them premium for the name on the box, not what's in it.

Rajvosa is a Permit Holder
i asked at Supercheap and they quoted me $55 for the alternator belt. (E36 328i). the brand was Bosch im pretty sure.

just double check part numbers with your supercheap/repcos. they tend not to have the same things on their computers as whats on your car. I had no probs with my e36 belts but the e30 m20 they got 2 outa 3 wrong.
