| BEMW Castlehill .. has anybody had any bad experiences with this mob ?? .. well here goes .. i took my car there today... got the oil service done .. they changed the oil allright.. but didnt re-set the lights.. Guy has scratched the front of my kit .. ( not overly annoyed as this was bound to happen ) but he must have scraped something on the rear bar aswell and took quite a fair swipe of pint off it .. somehow i failed inspection for a pink slip .. some of the things listed are absolutely stupid.. if i took the car anywhere else i would have passed with flying colours.. .. anybody else had problems with this guy before ... should i ring up and complain ?? let him know im not satisfied with the treatment recieved .. ?? | Eh who knows where you'll get with complaining... I've a mate who runs around up there a fair bit and works in the area and isn't real keen on the staff, that said he hasn't done any business with them. So its no reflection on the workshop itself. You've got a right to be pissed that they've done damage to your car. That said, as far as your pink slip goes, well who knows. They've obviously failed it for a reason, without specifics it's not really for anyone to say. A phone call wouldn't hurt to tell them you were unhappy. However, you probably dealt with the principle when you dropped it off, inspected it, paid etc. Best thing you could do is take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of reputable BMW specialists in Sydney.

| well heres how the pink slip shapes up .. points 1 and 2 Suspension Front near side and offside rule .. (understandable it is a bit too low and may also need new shocks ) 3. Need a new tyre ( no biggie ) 5. tail light not working or damaged .. ( Umm.. they are working and he also charged me for a bulb which he apparently replaced .. i also had a spare in the boot..also he was supposed to top up the coolant .. instead he just added some TAP WATER .. and said he didnt have any coolant .. which i also had a concentrate bottle in the boot... he just could not be bothered to mix it up.. also to put the radiator cap on (which he said i needed a new one .. i bought one from repco a week before.. he seemed to think it was the wrong one .. he tightened it with a adjustable spanner .. WTF... so now i cant undo it .. as i will need to flush my radiator to put new coolant and de-mineralised water in .. |

| If someone won't give you a pink slip, then just drive somewhere else. Also before asking for any repair work, make it clear you must give authorisation before they do any work. And insist that any parts that are replaced are reserved in a box for you to collect. Lastly, never go to that person/place again. They suck.

| I'm not entirely sure that Aaron has actually used them, although he'll correct me if I'm wrong. You should have to authorise the work carried out, otherwise it can get mighty expensive really quickly, and you'd want to see all the parts they replaced for peace of mind, so you know they've done what they charged you for Sounds like shitty service, so I wouldn't go back.

| If you want to come around to Hornsby then BEE-EMS are a good service group. They don't seem to like modifying anything (like they will not touch my supercharger) but they are good at all the general service items from 2002 to e90 and plenty of M cars. Anything more complex than a service then I tend to go to ALS. As far as the pink slip goes, if I remember correctly, the pink slip form will be submitted by the first company to the RTA and if the RTA think that it's suspicious that you went one place and failed and then another place and passed then they may ask for recepts (showing the repair of the first places failures) or they my ask you in for an inspection (happened to a friend ages ago). Just make sure that you cover (document) all of the issues in case they call. |

And that was after we went to pick it up the 1st time and it wouldnt start after they did the service. Only people to trust is ALS and B-Cars. IMO. Thats for a service or F/Induction. -Sergio
