Black is supposed to be better for heat exchange performance!
Look back at any car pre 2000, Factory rads and intercoolers were all painted black. They were still a majority made of copper too! It only went to leaving them unpainted because alloy unpainted has the same figures for heat exchange as copper used to when it was painted.
Just another case of the car companies trying to save money...

Paint it Black keep it looking sleeper!

The intercooler will be black and the front bar mod will be subtle. No-one has been able to tell me 100% that painting the intercooler black reduces efficency at all. Front bar will be identically to Andreas's one here.

I love Andreas's car!!

Painting it black makes it go faster? ...I think more people should invest time in spraying their coolers Black and/or get V-mounts.

Its all falling into place Can't wait dave!

Waiting for all the parts to arrive now. Ordered some Verdi Rods from Pure Performance Factory in Sweden. Garrett GT3076R .82 housing, 50mm Tial BOV and 44mm Tial Wastegate. I'll also get a PWR oill cooler once the intercooler is fitted as the I/C will take up most of where the oil cooler now resides, so I will move it to somewhere more appropriate. Engine should be back together in about 6 weeks hopefully. Back into the car to get the turbo manifold made and then hopefully be able to start the key before the years end.......hopefully.

Custom PWR Radiator. It's about 32mm thicker than stock.

500x300x73 Intercooler

E30 M3 EVO III Oil Pump

9 Piece Samco Coolant Hose Kit and all new stainless steel clamps

Looks good.

Why did you go for Samco pipes and not custom mandrel bent pipes?

They're coolant pipes. Just replacing all the coolant hoses, not 'cooler'.

Very nice!!!... I bet you can't wait to turn the key!

I'm looking into custom intercoolers as I'll need both inlet and outlet on the same side...

Any idea on where I can get a custom intercooler made?

Sorry for the hijack
