| Alpina Roadster S Quote:
The secret of fast racing and sporting cars is low weight, a stiff chassis, and an even, 50/50 weight balance. These were the qualities that BMW gave the Z4 as it was born, forming a wonderful basis upon which ALPINA have created an even more sporty and worthy automobile
The front and rear spoilers noticeably reduce lift. The harmoniously integrated rear spoiler accentuates the typical roadster proportions and awards the vehicle a lengthy, wedge-shaped design cue
Power is transferred through a close-ratio, precise-shifting manual 6-speed ZF gearbox with short shift paths. When needed, one can sprint from 0 to 100kph in 5.3 seconds
The 3.4-litre powerplant creates a maximum 300bhp at 6300 rpm, with maximum torque reaching 362 Nm at 4.800 rpm
The motor unites two fine qualities rarely seen together: the desire to rev to 7.200rpm and strong low-end torque
The steering wheel is hand-stitched from soft comfortable leathers, with the highest quality surface in look and feelA congenial atmosphere is provided in the interior through the standard leather-clothed panels or optional high-gloss laquer panels in the centre console, dash and doors.
Specs:
0-100 km/h - 5,3 seconds
Standing start kilometre - 24,6 seconds
Top Speed 265km/h
with hardtop 270km/h
Capacity cm³ 3346
Max. power kW/bhp 221/300 @ 6300rpm
Weight-optimised light alloy wheels ALPINA DYNAMIC design (Optional 18” ALPINA wheels in CLASSIC design)

Rear 9,5 x 19"
Tyres: MICHELIN Pilot
Front 235/35 R19 91Y
Rear 265/30 R19 93Y
| Looks are too subtle for me (in comparsion to the Hamann and ACS cars) but I guess the whole 'understated power' thing is what Alpina is all about... interesting that its actually faster with the hard top on too?
