| modem.....welll, as far as i know they are standard to all country rite....i used to buy computer from asia and bring it here to use and there were no problem at all... |

| Umm...all i know is that a computer DVD player running in Windows XP will allow you to change the Region of the player 3 or 4 times (cant remember)....after that...it will stay on the last selected region... or....u could get DVD Region Free (program)....will run all regions ![]() As for the modem....if the phone jack is the same shape...it will work....but who cares as modem in Australia r like $30 AUD these days... | In Australia we use a telephone connector called an RJ-12 jack its the shape of a square. Its like a mini version of an RJ-45 jack.... edit: I am also more certain that your modems are compatible beacuse any American guest that ever comes to the hotel, their laptops can always dial up to our local isp's pops Last edited by henryw; 08-04-2004 at 08:34 AM.. |

| hmm... now i dont know whether to buy it or not..... well thanks again guys, i'll just buy it here and see what happens.. im buying this for a computer illiterate person, so i cant have the DVD region change thing.. but i'll try the modem and see what happens.. thanks again!!
