| Rick Damelian I was just checking out the Rick Damelian website to see what stupid price they are charging for my car, and they have a M3CSL for sale. It is POA, is Silver Grey and has 1,000kms. Also, just a word of warning, if anyone goes to buy a Silver Grey 318i Sport from Rick Damelian (or they know anyone that goes to), dont do it! (that is my old car). They want $64,000 for it which is a complete rip-off. A brand new one can be had for about $68,000 on the road. I paid $64,000 on the road brand new. It is probably only worth around $55-57,000 from a stealer.

| I don't mind them. Here's why - if you know what they are about before you go there and you have your eyes open - then they can provide good service. How? You tell them what you want, and they WILL find it for you. Fast.

| Hmm Rick Damelian.. my Dad knows him well as we've bought a lot of cars from him in the past. But he started to charge way too much for brand new cars. When we wanted an Mercedes ML 4WD, back in 98', they were 83k on the road..he was charging 95k. One of my chick friends is Rick Damelian's niece...maybe I can get special discounts ![]()

| When a hot new car comes out RD always have a few available. When no body elese has one, they can get them. And so you can either go on some 18 month factory waiting list .. or buy one at a premium. Another thing is confusion over prices for new cars. The sticker price is not the on road price. Stamp duty and other charges and fees have to be applied on top. When you're talking about an expensive car, stamp duty is a significant amount! That's why it sometimes appears that RD and the like are making a huge markup. The final factor is that they need to make a proft - so you are going to pay a premium. When I decided I wanted an M Coupe in 2000 I looked high and low. Then I went to RD and talked to them. I specified I wanted an Artic Silver M Coupe with the red/black interior with no sunroof. I figured with only 21 in the country I could just about forget it. Two days later they asked if I wanted to test drive my car.

| Meh they're no different than any other dealership from my perspective.. I walk in to look at a car they take one look at me, suspect im 18 and walk the other way. And then if you do chase a saleperson down they talk down thier nose to me and assume my daddy's paying for the car (even tho they're probably younger and earn a lot less) Which doesnt bother me much but meh. Not lookin my age is a blessing and a curse at times ![]() |
