 DTM Australia Car of the Month September 2003 MelbBimmer's E46 325ci Our first DTM Australia Car of the Month belongs to fellow DTM member, Willy Lin from Melbourne. With the 325ci coming so highly recommended from family and friends, it was decied that a trip to the local BMW dealership be made. After spying the gleaming blue E46 coupe sitting in the showroom a test drive was quickly arranged and the 325ci was sitting in his driveway the following day! The car is of December 2001 build and came fully optioned, including the 18" sports package wheels and aero bodykit. AC Schnitzer mirrors  Carbon fibre CDA airbox and DDE lightbox  Full carbon fibre interior trim!      Sub box, amplifier and AC Schnitzer rear strut brace  DDE's and HID's      Modifications to the 325ci began to be made soon after! On the outside, an AC Schnitzer GT wing and mirrors were added to compliment the lines of the factory kit and changes to lighting were also made with the addition of 6000K HID's and DDE angel eyes, hiding under a set of Hamann eyelids In the handling department, Willy opted for a set of 19" EVO5 rims, measuring 8" in the front and a wider 9.5" at the rear. The tyre of choice is Bridgestone S03.   The 19s were soon matched to lower suspension, comprising of an Eibach Sports Pro Kit. To enhance the handling even further, genuine AC Schnitzer M3 spec strut tower bars were added front and rear..  Performance on the 325ci has been improved via basic engine breathing mods, comprising of a Remus exhaust system with dual upswept tips, a custom cat and a CDA carbon fibre air intake.  More carbon fibre can be found through out the interior replacing much of the trim. A stereo finishes off the inside of the car with a Pioneer 9350 headunit replacing the original version, connected to two 1000W Alpine 12dv subwoofers powered by a Soundstream amplifier. Whilst being extremely happy with the car in its current form, Willy says he has carried out most of his modifcations for looks, hoping to be able to enter the car in many upcoming car shows. Future plans for the car (once repairs are finished) include a new front bumper.. so stay tuned for the new pics in a couple of weeks time!

| What would look sexy is the biggest set of brakes you could possibly fit within those wheels. As there isn't much alloy to hide ur brakes, ur wheels kinda look naked. But overall, damn sweet ride! |

| That is a damn fine looking car! Many congrats to you!!! You have done exactly what I feel is right with modding cars, you have made it look ever so stylish without going over the top!! Very nice ride!!!

| Looks good willy - I have always liked your car. But I agree with PPJ - bigger brakes are required inside those alloys!
