[Melb] GOR Sunday 2nd July

Its time to start the cruising here in Melbourne. What better way to start if off then a cruise down the Great Ocean Road

Date: Sunday 2nd July
Meeting place: Shell/KFC (just before West Gate Bridge leaving the City)
Meeting time: 4:45am meet for a 5am departure
What to bring: Full tank of fuel. Money for breakfast and lunch. Mature attitude, CB radio(if you have one), Camera, video camera
Open for: DTMpower and Australian Convertible Club (anyone with a BMW or a convertible. Anyone really but please contact me beforehand)
Reason: TO have a good time
-Maps will be given out on the day

The date is set up to accomodate the uni students who have exams and the time is to accomodate traffic. It also will make breakfast on the Great Ocean Road at 7am so we will have a view of the ocean while eating breakfast. This will be a close to all day cruise that will end about 1PM.

Other details:
- Advice: Please take as many pictures as possible. You may need them after the cruise.
- Due to the immature behaviour recently seen on this forum, i would like to suggest that everyone who is attending the cruise to leave the immature behaviour on the forums. We are using public roads and it is not on to endanger other people on the cruise and the publics lives. You have been warned!

bobz: yes i love the idea of a 5 start but its up to people if they can wake up. This is an awesome event and the people who went to the ECCA GOR cruise at the end of last year would know this is true! all i need is 1 more thumbs up for the 5am and it will be set

what time you planning on being back in melbourne? I may have work starting at 1pm.

There are 2 points where you can break away early.

1. After the breakfast, you can take the GOR back to Melbourne. That will get you back to the city about 10:30am to 11am

2. After the rainforest route, we will be stopping for snaps and a chat. If you leave from tehre, you should get back about 12:30pm (running a bit close)

for others, i am looking at close to 2pm return to melbourne depending how long breakfast takes and how long we hang around for and depending on time might organise a detour for some lunch in colac La Porchetta.
