| [SYD] Bathurst Cruise '05 * * * UPDATED * * * Date: Sunday 11th of December Time: 8.30am Meeting: Homebush Bay P6 carpark, Olympic Park. Departure is 9am sharp, this is a full day event hence the earlier than usual start. From the meeting point, we will be taking the M4 motorway west so remember to bring toll money (or an e-tag!) First stop will be for fuel at the Caltex twin service stations near Eastern Creek, if you prefer other fuels I suggest filling up before the meeting point. At approximately 10.30am we will be taking for a brief coffee break at the Grand Hydro Majestic Hotel in Medlow Bath. We should reach Bathurst Information Centre by 12.30 where we can regroup. Rhys (europhile) recommends the cafe there for lunch as it’s reasonably priced and has plenty of parking however people are free to go their own way. Mt. Panorama is only a few minutes away, there will be the opportunity to drive around the track a few times, take pictures/videos or visit the Motor Racing Museum. The return trip to Sydney will be back on the Great Western Highway/M4, cruise will end at the Caltex twin service stations at Eastern Creek so make sure you know your way home from there. Things to remember: - CB radio, very helpful to have - Feel free to bring friends for company - Don't drive like an idiot  - Mt. Panorama is a public road, 60km/h speed limits apply Hope to see a really solid turnout for this one, its been a popular drive in the past. | Pretty hard to tell with an event like this, its a long distance and unsure how many people will becoming at this stage. Wouldn't expect to be home before 6
