A Great Ocean Road trip will be happening in the near future (a month away???)... still figuring out a date, etc so stay tuned. What dates/days suit everyone? With the weather getting better we'll be able to do more activities and on a more frequent basis. Oh I'm also now living in Melb which should make things a bit easier! Hehe! C'mon peoples, we have the numbers so show your support!

Hehe! I'm grinning just thinking about that one! It was LOTS of fun! Oh, Chris n I also managed to keep our cars pointed the right way that night too! Haha! Dude, when fast-food venues are concerned, you ARE "the donut king"!

On a different note, great to see a few familiar faces out on friday night at another cruise. You guys did very well with the conditions and great to see everyone stuck to within their skill limits and left a good margin for error. The weather was shocking!!! LMAO at Ash's comment about needing better globes! I swear you read my mind at that split-second man!

To quickly defend regarding "antics"...I was a bit worried about overtaking manouvers from a couple of "other" euro cars. Some clown (I called him something else at the time) in a Golf(?) nearly came unstuck beside me approaching a blind crest on a long straight and I was forced to allow room while going at a decent speed. Nearly being run off the road (esp at that speed) certainly didn't impress me, but there's a difference between having some silly innocent fun that doesn't hurt anyone, and just plain f**king dumb that nearly wiped me out. For the record Chris, you're the former, certainly not the latter! Hehe! To those in the powers that be from the hosts of the evening, please note I could have made a BIG thing of Golf-boy's "driving" but chose not to... It's in the past, it all worked out ok and nobody was hurt.

I know some of you got a bit of stick for certain antics...not saying I encourage it (wasn't our cruise remember) but we all make our own judgements. We were separated and well away from the proceedings at the time...that's all I'm saying to avoid getting chewed a new one! Laughing at the Chapel St comments...those types are more commonly found along the StKilda Esplanade in my experience anyway! Chapel's been rid of them for a while since the major crack-downs...style and class seem to be retaking the territory (thank god!). Oh, and with that fine booty walking the strip, why wouldn't you take a tour down there?!

Keep suggestions and dates coming! We'll all benefit so don't be shy!

Thanks stefan. Ah in the rain with a whole paddock who could resist. It was awesome gettin some drift in controlled conditions...Wouldnt go dry though, not enough power (that's what rain is for). Yeah ironic, you can get condemned for a little fun in the rain i.e little tail spin, drifting in a paddock yet thumping it at high speeds around dangerous bends in appauling conditions (bucketing down, tailgating, with road mist is accepted as a norm. To be honest the euro cars weren't that stable at the speeds some people were hitting into bends. I'd occassionally hit my hazards esp. down that steep with the one lane bridge decent to warn people, and we were on the two way very frequently esp around that 30 KPH chicane when it could of been a big pile up. Still who are we to judge, we are simply in control of our own cars on the night. Nuff said though great night and great organisation. Lets look forward to the next one. I'm pretty sure the next one will be more show than performance of course ( a nice detail and vaccum would go well ).

P.S you didnt wanna be on the same two way frequency as i was at times, i was copiing a real earfull.

Perhaps your comments would be better heard on the relevant forum.

I'm sure Aaron as well as myself find it rather annoying having to read about or deal with things that have nothing to do with each others clubs.
I too could say alot but i have more respect for Aaron than that.

Shitty behaviour on cruises seems to be a frequent occurance. It certainly spoils it for me. The first cruise I attended (also the last) saw numerous burnouts, races through The Rocks in Sydney and at least one rear ende collision.

There was a period of time that every single cruise resulted in at least one accident. And yet these daredevils who rip it up on public roads have never once taken it to the track.

That cruise was a mess from what I heard, was Raima the boss back then? I think its just to say things have come a long way since then, anyone who has been on a cruise in the last 2 years would know otherwise

My relevant thoughs were expressed there. I just brought to light, the fact that drivers can be condemned to hell for a little fun that is relatively controlled -in controlled conditions away from people, obstacles dangers, and how everybody seems to pick up on it when nobody was their to witness anything except for a few friends. As far as im concerned everyone including myself has exaggeratted the situation as FUBAR, for 1 or 2 mins of wet driving in a paddock, why because we can point fingers. This could of happened at home in a driveway or garage and people would still be talking about it. It's really been over done.

I'd be honestly more concerned about any drivers (international, local or whoever) reaching excessive speeds on roads they dont know (i.e when they get lost or tailgatting the car in front of them), in appauling wet weather conditions and in high hazardous areas such as decents and steep 30 kph turns. Mind you with absolutely no visiblity and grip with the speeds they reach (something we have all in the past or present been guilty for), than some people who sit in an isolated area 10 by 10 meters wide in an area the size of a paddock and toy with water.

Which would you prefer if you had a choice? neither of course, but a party doing wet manouevers in an acre of room with no obstacles I would suspect would be less likely to lose control of their vehicle than someone hitting speeds in excess of the speed limit for that specific road.

Besides, after the comments made and expressed I doubt any driver (and member) of any vehicle would dare to cross that line again - i.e you would in future expect every member reading this post to be rational when it comes to driving like an idiot in future (and that includes anywhere).
