| Alpine Type-R 12" Ported box + MRP-M500 monoblock Looking to sell a subwoofer (ported box) and amplifier that powers it, they are: Alpine SBR-S122V Alpine Electronics of Australia Postage dimensions: 410*455*430, 25 kilograms. and Alpine MRP-M500 Alpine Electronics of Australia Postage dimensions: 365*340*155, 3.6 kilograms They are both in brand-new condition, I have had them only a few months - I bought it from JB-Hifi in frankston (as a packaged deal with some other equipment). Both are FLAWLESS, amp comes with box, manual, all mounting hardware (screws) etc. The reason I am selling is because it does not fit real well in my e36 coupe, it had to go into the boot sideways, and required me to remove the spare wheel to get the box in and out. It has been a fantastic subwoofer, just too impractical for me (and made it impossible to neaten the boot wiring up)- so, I am swapping it out for a some 10"s of the same brand & model (because I was very happy with the performance of this one). The specs of the sub/amp are in the links above, but they are both 500wRMS, which (although not the most powerful on the market) is quite a cut above most that you will find in peoples cars. Alpine's RRP is $499 for the sub+box, and $499 for the amp JB hifi are selling the sub+box @ $487 and the amp @ $499... I am willing to sell the sub+box for $350, and the amp for $320 otherwise I am asking $600 for both - very reasonable considering they really are in as-new condition (and still under warranty I believe, though I might have to check the receipt). I will get pictures up if anyone is interested. Don't hesitate to ask any questions, If you want we can arrange a meeting time for you come and look at them up close if you are still unsure, and to see whether or not it will fit in your car. I know that it is difficult to maneuver into the boot of an e36 coupe - sedans & hatches I do not know, I have not compared the boot openings. I am sure it would fit neatly into a 5 or 7 series though (and possibly other 3 series models) Last edited by Scotty89 : 05-01-2009 at 05:36 AM. |

| I would send it interstate at the buyers expense, but would recommend against it. The postage costs of the sub and box would be tremendous - which would put the total cost above that of retail. In which case it would be cheaper to go to your local hi-fi store ![]() The amp alone I may be able to post however, I will check the dimensions and weight this afternoon. Edit: checked the dimensions and weights: The amp inside its box with everything is 365*340*155mm and weighs 3.6kgs. The sub+box is not square, the sides and top are slightly tapered, but from the largest measurements each side it's 410*455*430mm and weighs 25kgs. Last edited by Scotty89 : 04-23-2009 at 12:42 AM. |
