Blown... Unblown components?

ok weird shit.... please tell me the possibilities and downsides (lower quality) of what happened to me last night.

i just rehooked up my ADS component set. they were working fine all night long until the VERY end of the night and the right side cracked out on me. went raspy and sounded blown. this morning i take things apart and find that on my crossover the tweeter out and woofer out were swapped. i fixed it and now it works again!!!

is there any thing that i blew? i mean why would it work all night then just shit out at the last minute of pulling into my home last night?

any input wopuld be helpful thanks guys/gals(i know your out there)
