Unscrew me.

Im trying to get my window and its assembly out but...

a.) my windows fully rolled up
b.) i took the motor housing off thinking I could sping the motor to unroll the window.
c.) motor housing doesnt want to go back on cause bushing rotates.
d.) even id I did get it on, my car still getting rewired so I couldnt power them.


How can I roll the window down now?

try experimenting... see if you can figure out which is hot and ground, and simply run those to a small power source... you can probably manually do it...

i cant get the housing back on or I would.

Anyone know why when i spin the motor the window doesnt go down?

there is a magnet, you have to get it in. make sure that magnet is in the center, and then keep on trying, untill you'll get it on

Yea, I know how it works but its harder then it sounds.

Ok listen up i did a 98 e36 window motor the other day @ work with the same problem, Your having problems unscrewing 1 of the 3 screws behind the sliding part of the window regulator. You have to dismantel that motor pull apart the hosing and all the windings once you pull it out the gear will no longer have a load and you can spin it freely. And when your putting the new motor on after you connect the conectors back to the motor if you un plug it again the window must be in the all the way up position. If not the window will think its all the way up @ the leavel it was when it was unpluged this confused me for about 3hrs. And after you put the new motor in the auto up feature will be disabled it must be re calibrated roll the window all the way up hold it for 5 sec let go then push the window buttion up for another 5 sec it should recalibrate it. try it more than once if it doesnt work the first time good luck p.m. me if you have trouble

you have to tottaly remove the regulator from the door frame time to bust out the drill and drill out those rivets the bolts are on the inside of the regulator P.s. the motors ****ed after you took of the motor housing
