| Radar Detectors This is very controversial especially among V1 and 8500 owners. I have an 8500 myself, but my friend and I are argueing about which one might be better. I read that the 8500 has won more comparisons than the V1 on a few consumer reports, but how many have each of them really won? I think that the 8500 is good at detection, but when people talk about range, they over exaggerate the detection by saying it works miles away. I usually find that cops are closer than a mile before the signal is detected. Maybe I need to set it on city? Does city also cover highways? I also use the ExpertMeter and the sensitivity seems to go off on false alarms all the time (doors, truckers, etc...) What settings do you think are the best for the 8500? Also, if you own one of the two or both, which one do you think is better and for what reasons?

the passport has that feature too. it can track up to 8 signals simultaneously. so really the only advantage the v1 has is the arrows which imo is pretty damn useless. people need open they eyes and take v1's c0ck out they mouths. i bought the passport 8500 like 2 days ago. i bought it after intensive research on several forums, radar review sites(and yes i know the controvesely with 1 of em), etc. some say the v1 is the best. some say the passport is better. some say they tied. u cant go wrong with either one so why not buy the one that costs $100 less?

| i read that 75 % of drivers with good radars thatgot speeding was because of the user not setting it up right. got ot radartesting.com they are a group that test many different radars and rates they from range to user frinedlyness. they test all major brands and even test jammers research is your best friend here.. |
