| "Tail light failure" on OBC Recently I have been getting a tail light failure reading on my OBC. I have the OEM BMW Euro tail lights. I have had them on for a year without a single problem or reading on the OBC. Now whenever I turn on my parking lights this message comes up instantly on the OBC. I know it has nothing to do with the common brake light circuit failure because I used to get that to but I changed the little switch under the dash board and it went away permanently. But does anyone know what could be causing this? Funny thing is to that all my tailights work just fine. Ive double checked. Thanks Chris

| I've heard that if you have the aftermarket brand it may do this, but if you have the OEM ones it wont. I currently have the oem ones, and in the past they did do it to me. But i found out that the reason why is because the brake plug contacts were not touching the circuits in the tail lights, What i did to fix this was that i took out my plug and bent the contact forward so it would touch the circuit, and for me the problem was fixed.
