12000k Hid Wtf???

hey i saw this on ebay and was kinda surprised. i have seen 8000k HID kits for sale but this one takes the cake. isn't 12000K almost ultra violet light??12000K HID

yup, the japanese has released the 12000K HID, it's no joke but it's not bright ... whatever goes higher than the sun's intensity light will become less bright

the best light probably a bit higher than sun's intensity

i thought the suns color temp was somewhere around 5300k

Manny was to buy that I think a few months ago.. Correct me definately if im wrong, but he said that it was just way too purple or something and doesnt fit the actual purpose of Xenon's, just the color is extremely purple.

Once you hit 8k in my mind thats when HID turns rice cause its just another rice bulb cause you are seriously hampering your vision and you just paid an ass load for a color light.

4300 is really the best temperature for lightoutput if you want functionality.

if you like the blue look but dont want to lose power (like 18% or something) at 6000k, you can go with 5400K. But above that is just for looks, a bunch of halogens will even look better in a good housing.

5400K is the most recommended intensity ... don't go higher than that..

but this 12000k stuff... @_@ people that need those bulbs should just stick to driving daytime and avoid going anywhere at nighttime. for else, what's the point if those bulbs are so bright that its just like daytime. makes no sense for anything over 5400K.

I'm currently in China and I saw them in a Taiwanese car mag that I picked up on layover. They don't have the actual pic of the output but I thought that it was crazy. A while back there was a pic of a GTi I think that had euro projectorsand 8000k HID's very purple. But some people have money to burn so let them.

OT-Does anyone know where the little tab on the bottom of the page went? The one that let's you jump to a different forum? I musta missed something coming to China.

H4 is a totally different style light bulb, I'd say similar to your H1's in the Bimmer Fogs.
