SUGAR in the Gas Tank (need help)

Okay so a buddy of mine wants to know what sugar in the gas tank does to a car's engine. We're in a bit of a disagreement about this. I'm saying that it locks up the engine, and he says that it doesn't do anything.

If it really does work, how much sugar do you have to put in the gas tank of a car to ruin the engine?

Thanks fellas...PEACE.

that will just make the car run funny. if you wanna **** it over, put a hose in the airbox and have them start it up.

water does not compress nearly as much as air.

i bet sugar wouldnt do shit.

Are you stupid or something? The whole idea behind dumping sugar in the gas tank is to f*ck someone's ride up WITHOUT them knowing. Having them start up their car with a hose in the airbox isn't exactly subtile...

but, if you do it in their driveway, and they dont notice, it would be adding huge insult to injury.

sugar burns just like gas or any other hydrocarbon.

(C6H12O6)+9(O2)===>6(CO2)+6(H2O)

if you put about 5 pounds to like a 15 gallon tank it would probably turn to carmel and stick to everything that the gas flows through, and then the carmel would harden and probably lock up certain parts

And a mechanic can point this out or what? Is this TRUE, or are you going on "common sense?"

well ive made carmel on my stove and the temperature that suger and WATER turns to carmel is not too high. i havent actually tried to mix gas with suger and make carmel but im thinking that it would carmelize. so it a educated guess
