Extrapolating data from current BMW engines and knowing the redline of the E60 M5(8300)......500hp would be very underrated. That torque figure seems HIGHLY unlikey. I'd guess 440-450 ft*lbs because of the current 81 ft*lbs per liter of the E46 M3(I'm assuming relatively similar torque generation per cylinder).
