Nightmare with a 318 cluster on a 325i help!

Hey Guys,

I needed to change my cluster cause my odometer stopped working with another one I got with the same km at a scrap yard. I put it in and it bolted right on. It went ok for the first couple of weeks. The main purpose why I got a 318i cluster was because the other places didnt have it and its to expensice to buy a new one. And I wanted to change the old one because the MPG guage and the odometer wasnt working. So I did. It went ok for a couple of weeks. Then the service light came on. So I poped the hood and jump the wire from the nagative pin to the other correct pin. The lights reseted to green. So it was ok. Now it cam on again, but when I try to reset it. It seems like its jumpng from lighting Oil Serive, to Inspection lights are red and yellow. And the oil service lights stays on as it doesnt reset anymore. And sometime it jumps too inspection and so forth. I also noticed that the temp guage when the engine heats up abit it moves around, like it twicthes. When I tap the cluster it becomes ok and then start doing it again after abit later. But sometime when it does twitch something it fixes by it self. One time the KM guage to stopped working and after hitting it, It works again. But now its working ok. But still, I also noticed that the guage fuse burned aswell as the starter. I replace them. I dont get it when I bought it everything was ok it happened like 2 weeks later. Is there any way I can convert the 318 so it will be compatible with a 325 cause it looks like the same shit to me... help me guys.. sometime the cars lights go dim too... But after reving it it fixes up, my battery died last night had a boost the lights were dimmed I reved the engine too 5k and it fixed the problem. All this because of the cluster??
