Question BMW OEM Rims-- if polished, are they coated?
Does anybody with the 5 series polished rims or the polished lightweight rims know if they were originally clear coated or otherwise protected?

i have a chip...and it's far shinier underneath. im wondering if i should just have the rims refinished because they might oxidize underneath the coating anyway. or the clear is yellowing....either way, need some help.
