Never say never Tom. Who's to know whether BMW will release an M7. I bet 5 years ago no one thought the flagship S class would be a turbocharged beast capable of 0-60 in 4.3 seconds (Car and Driver). BMW will surely look at ways to narrow the performance gap between the 760Li and the S600. Let's not forget how successful (and unexpected) the E38 740i Sport was. That old BS that an M car has to have a manual gearbox is clearly no longer the gospel as SMG (I think) has already been confirmed as the standard gearbox for the next M5.

I think it would be great if BMW unleashed a 600 HP 6 speed clutchless manual short wheelbase 7 on the world. At the very least, I expect to see a 7 with the full spirit of M behind it (a la 850CSi being almost an M car) if not with the actual tricolor badge.
