There have been a few E46 M3 Alcantara wrapped multi-function steering wheels w/SMG paddles, circulating 6-9 months ago for around $1200-1300 USD. Either they were from pre-production CSLs, or BMW Individual. Although I don't have a part number for you, they are possible to get. I'm sure you have more flexibility for unique BMW parts, being in the United Kingdom. I'd prod around, do some research, then call/email a dealership that has a flexible parts department.
