| ITS PROBABLY ANOTHER SCAM!
They have been happening all over the place lately. You see it on eBay often.
A seller will offer a car at a VERY GOOD PRICE. but, he most likely doesnt have the car. Or if he does, he has not intention of selling it.
And they will ONLY use an escrow service for payment. No checks, no cash, no wire transfers. Now, if this is the case, then the scam is that they actually 'own' the escrow account. They usually require a 10grand deposit or something. .and then just walk with your money.
Now I didnt read the classified yet.. but it just sounds like this same kind of deal. So be careful.
NEVER SEND ANYTHING OVER A GRAND AS A DOWNPAYMENT. and ALWAYS offer to pay for the car in cash... IN PERSON. if they refuse.. walk away. I mean, who wouldnt want someone to hand them a check for several grand? It just doesnt add up.
Be a smart buyer.
