Volvo 850 Wagon vs. ricer civic

I was driving my dad's volvo 850 GLT station wagon last night, and BTW its a 5 speed. I am going down the highway and there isn't any traffic whatsoever. Many stores sit along this highway and out of one of them pulls out a red civic with some body kit, lowering springs, and a big fart exhaust! I give the volvo some gas to catch up, the kid is in the slow lane so I pull up next to him and downshift and bring the 5 cyl. Volvo monster up to 5k and take off. This must've pissed him off being owned by a volvo station wagen so he blows by me at 80 mph, but we still wind up at the same traffic light with me going 30 mph slower. I turn off traction control as the civic revs its engine. I rev my engine, the light turns green, and I dump it at 4k getting the wheels to spin a little and the car to torque over to the left, the civic pulls on me a little, but once I had the box up to speed I blew by him in second gear! I decided that was enough for the night so I went back to where-ever I was driving too. When I got home I tried to convince by dad to purchase an aftermarket turbo and some stuff from ipd!

It's pretty fun in a de-badged M3 with a turbocharger. (Mine is badged..I don't play that stuff..)

My buddy has one de-badged, and it also is a normal 3 series color, green. No one thinks or expects it's an M3 unless they really know about the body kit, etc.

I hate it when I see just regualer 3 series with M3 body kits. I say, "Whoa, Look a M3!", then my friend says, "no you idiot, its a 325i, and you call yourself a fanatic."

It is fun killing little hondas w/ a station wagon. My mom has an 850 Turbo wagon, unfortunately its an auto, but once its going it does pull really well. I have had a few encounters w/ hondas in this thing...its funny because they are surprised most of the time by the grocery getter

Yeah I do hate that as well. I say why not just spend $18k and get a 95 M3 and mod it...

Rather than spend 12-15 and dump 5 into it so it looks like an M3.

Naw 18k sounds about right. Assuming it has some serious miles on it by that time. 24k you could get a 98 with 65k possibly

sweet 18k, might be able to make that much when I graduate and before I go to college. Exactly what this world needs, another leadfoot 18 yr old behind the wheel of a 240hp M3!

LOL! I do the same thing. My mom has a V70 T5, the car is suprisingly fast and definately a sleeper. Its also a girl color, metallic coral red (pretty much pink), so nobody expects it to be fast.

My buddy I bought my 98 from sold a 95 with 88k miles on it for 18k...not all of them are 18k. I would say the average is 19.5-20k.
