V1 VS Escort 8500

Hey im 17 and i like to drive resonable fast on the highways.
but i cant afford to get at ticket my parents will kill me.
what is better V1 of Escort 8500 and why

V1....it tells you where the radar is coming from and doesn't just "beep"....

All I can say is that they're not "Police Detectors" so neither will garuanty save you from getting tickets, but they will give you some warnings if the cops were around. I had the Passport 8500 and I still got a ticket, so I returned it for a refund. I would say go for the V1 and tell us about it.

P.S. The Passport 8500 went off when I actually "SEE" the cop

Well for all the reviews I have read, the 8500 is better at detecting all the bands including Ka. But the v1 is really cool as it has arrows showing you where its coming from.

I think that the 8500 only detected one band better, and it was very minimal difference. The V1 is the only way to go.

V1 because it tells you where the cops are, and it can pick up multiple signals, so like if your driving past a mall, with 1 automatic door, there normally be 1 going off, but if there is a cop there it will tell you there are 2. This is my understanding, correct me if im wrong.
