Just bought a Radeon 8500. ANyone else have it?

Radeon 8500 DV edition, with TV tuner, like it a lot + i can watch tv while serfing web.

Great card, especially for what you can get it for. If you ever have any issues with it, or what not, go check out a site called Rage3D. You can usually find a quick answer there on the forums.

Is it retail or OEM. If its OEM, u can find a flash program to upgrade it to retail on the internet.

why the hell you buy a radeon ?
no offense, but everyone who read a lot of computer stuffs agree
Radeon and Matrox now can't compete with the Nvidia in graphics...
and the new G-force 4 is out in cheapy price, should refund and get a
piece to play...

I'll get the radeon AIW becuase I don't use my computer for gaming that much, the most I play is about an hour or so of counterstrike per week. On the other hand, my room isn't big enough to fit a TV in, so I need a TV tuner card

If a company manufactures a nvidia chipset-based card with TV tuner, I would probably take it over a radeon. However, radeon's aren't as bad as you expect, if I remember correctly, it had somewhere in the neighborhood of 8.8GB/sec memory bandwidth, ~4Gigatexels fill rate (not sure about this) 64/128MB DDR ram, complete directx 8.1 support

Im over it. For 140 at Best Buy, its fine. I already have WinTV card, so I have the TV thing down, plus the ability to use DV clips with the firewire card. Im over it, haha.

Ok here's mine oo.2$.
Recentky i changed 5 vid cards. First 3 were GF3 and then 2 Radeon. I'm using WinME on my comp and with first 3 i had a lot of bugs. With 1 GF3 i couldn't play at all, after starting the game and connecting to the server game just freezes.
With Radeon i didn't have any problems yet. Love it a lot.

140?! damn i bought my 7500 the week it came out because i broke my old radeon for 200 something i forgot but damn the price went down

my friend bought the ATI TV card for $75 cdn ($50usd)

can watch tv beside the desktop...
