Specs on 850csi

I saw a 850csi on the freeway today, and was just wondering the specs on it. Also the performance numbers on a 740il.. one was playing around with me last night on the freeway

1995 850csi 5.6l v12 372hp @ 5300rpm/ 402 ft-lbs. @ 4000 rpm

nah its faster then that its like 5.7 around that lil slower then e36 m3..

the 1/4 time are like .2 off the m3

but yea its slow for the amount of hp it has..

The 850 CSi does 0-60mph in about mid 5s.
Since it has so many hp, it should be able to go faster. I guess the disappointing performance is due to its hefty weight.

Damn I love the 8series. Its got so much more Style and class than any other BMW. It presence is there cause its so different and big.

I Agree Want A M3 ...

The 8 Series Design Concepts and Styling is sooo unique... the rarity factor (in Australia at least) is amazing... and the 8 series really turns heads with its beauty of style, engineering, and every facet of the car...

My Dream Car = Black 850Csi ... that is one car I would love too own some day...

wow! didn't know 8 series were that rare. There's one in my suburb and I see it quite often....

so there was only one 8 series?

no, there was the 840ci, 850i, 850ci, 850csi, and the B12 5.0 and 5.7.

the 850csi used the S70 B56, a 2 valve V12, which was the basis for the 4 valve S70/2 in the Mclaren F1.

I have an 850i blck with black interior and black tint, I love the car. At 4200 lbs it is heavy, but get up and goes.

Actually there were 850i back in 1991 when BMW first introduced the 8 series.
Then the designation was changed to 850Ci in 1994 or so. Followed by the 840Ci model.
The CSi version was equivalent to the M version for the 3 series/5 series cars. I don't know why BMW didn't call it the M8 but the CSi did come with diff. exterior mirrors, M tri color stitching steering wheels, seats, etc.
