Tell me about the 8 series please

I just drove an 850i automatic a few weeks ago. It's an awesome car if you look at the age those things have. I mean they were built with electric seats with a memory function, looooong before other cars had that and the V12 is just awesome. However, the power/weight is pretty bad. It pulls about as hard as my 323ti (185hp/2535.3lbs).

I've never driven the 850csi though, I think those are quite mean

It is a heavy car, but I can stay in corners with M3's. Mine is a dog from a stop since it is an automatic, but on a roll, it goes well. It is not like my Viper, they are 2 different cars. I still get asked if my car is a 2003 model, and people freak out when I tell them it is a 91 with 113K miles.

Last I checked the only 6-speeds were in europe. so, unless you do a swap (which would kick-ass) then you're only going to find automatics around...

My friend has a US 1991 6-speed 8 here. There were about 200 total in the early years that were stick.
