There is no way to turn the odometer off, if you tamper with it, there is a light that comes up and stays on that indicates it has been tampered with.
He could however had purchased a device from germany that rewrites the mileage, it costs about $800.00....thats the only way to truely rewrite the mileage.
As long as you have it checked at a BMW certified place and you look at the condition of the car you should be able to spot a M3 with 22.5K miles on it without a problem. It should basically be brand new! |
