| Vette VS. 750il i didnet really get to race him becuase there was such heavy traffic. but anyways i stuck with him going 70 around some turns in a 35 and i couldnet go beside him because all of the cars. while taking a left, he took the inside of hte car in front of him and i follwed. at the next light i was behind him and we took off down a really steap hill, and he was a lot faster than i thought. he wasent pullin on me but he was def keeping up. then he turned into his street and it was over. nothing big, but fun none the less. btw...how much hp do the newer 750s have? we have an older one and its got 300 im pretty sure, but didnet they bump it up to 350 later on?

| 750iL has 326hp. were you the one in the vette or the 750iL. and what year is the "older one" you're talking about? the e38's are quite nice, but the one thing i don't like about them is how abrupt the throttle response is. if you mash the gas, there's a pause...........(then) WHAM!!! you get shoved back in your seat. sometimes that happens and it's even unintentional! great car though...and gotta love the protection package ![]() |

| we have a 91 i think it is 750il its green and its packign almost 200k miles and goin strong its suprisingly fast when its moving, but i dont trust it on the turns at all.

| I noticed the same thing(minus the shoved into the seats part.. w/ my 330i loaner....1/2" of dead space then BAM!! Made navigating the parking garage quite difficult...Quote:

| yeah, the 330i is notorious for that too. i don't know what it is? just one of those things you have to get used to i guess. i've never experienced quite the same thing with a manual trans, but the automatics are plagued by that problem.... |
