Need some help on my 88 750 il

Hey guys I havent had much time to use this site or to fix up my car. I wanted to ask you guys a few questions:

1) I have a few sensors going off how do I fix this problem
- Parking light
- F/Fog light
- Tail light
they all work but the sensor is going off, anyway I can either fix them or get rid of them on my computer (under the speedometer)

2) The light for the computer next to the radio is also shot, anyone know how I can take it apart and change the light? I know its working because if the sun shines on it I can see it.

3) Also anyone have a rust treatment they can recommend? I have rust spots and I really want to fix it so it doesnt get worse (i also have a tiny hole due to this how can i fix/fill it up?).

Thanks guys for all your help, if this is in the wrong forum I am sorry, long time no use.

Steve

For the lights, check the quality of the bulbs you are using. E32s/E34s have finnicky LKMs (Light Control Module). Cheap bulbs give too much resistance and throw a code. (Can also be caused by cheap aftermarket tail-lights or bad bulb holders.)

The solution is to either buy the bulbs at the dealer OR get Sylvania EURO bulbs at pep boys. The euros have plain aluminum-looking bases where as the "regular" ones are brass colored.

As for the computer bulb, if you take out your radio, there is a lever on the side of the computer to get it out. Replacing the bulb inside the unit is fairly self explanatory. DON'T FORGET TO GET YOUR RADIO CODE BEFORE DOING THIS!!!

Full DIY with pictures. Should be the same for the E32.
