Common problems with 1994 7 series?

I'm looking into picking up a bimmer again, but I can' tdecide between a 3 series or a 7 series and I ran into a 7 series for a cheap price, but I was told by a buddy of mine that 7 series has fucked up motor problems? What are you guy's honest opinions about it? Here's a link to what I'm looking at.

What 7 series?

The fucked up motor problems he is probably referring to is the Nikasil blocks that would degrad with the sulphur in our gas compared to Europes. If its liek a 735 or something then you don't got the same problem.
