my buddy just bought a (dark red) 95 740 i. i said i could help him find some goodies to enhance the ride a little without spending too much.
so far im going to advise him on clear or smoked lights front/rear/side lights from BMP or bavAuto.
the car is a 95, so is this OBDI just like e36's? as far as chips are concerned, what is the best choice for the least money? DINAN chips new are like 500, which is way too much...
what about intakes? just looking for any first hand knowledge that is better than searching vendors without advice. thanks in advance for any suggestions.
exhaust will be left stock for the sleeper attitude, nothing too attention-getting.

as far as engine chips go I'm not sure there is anything else besides Dinan. Dinan also makes an intake for the 4.4 V8. There are suspension upgrades you can do to an e38 and Hamann makes a kit for the car

i've had my '95 iL for a couple of months........im looking to modify it aswell.....so far, im working on a custom intake....i got a buddy who makes intake for a trucks, so i got a filter that fits perfect on the maf....i left it on just to check out the difference and i was satisfied with the results....it wasnt a huge gain, but the car seemed a little lighter, sounded more v8'ish, and im enjoying clicking the accelerator on the freeway alot more than before...all i need to complete it is to custom make a 4" extension along with a bracket so it sits in the stock air box location like a quality intake......future mods include medium tint, red/clear tails, two 12" subs, 20" Staggered RPM R-505 wheels, some ACS interior accessories.....the e38 doesnt need much to turn heads, so i dont wanna over-do it........
