I took a look at the solaris and to be honest they seem to me like all the rest of fake HID lamps. Overdirven, tinted halogens. Myself I have run the Xtra-Vision and Cool-Blue lines from sylvania and the cool blues have a decent output for a 55w bulb. My next upgrade are the off road Hella capsules for the 9006/9005 setup in the 6. The option I have is to run an 85w/100w 9006/9005 combo or I can adjust the harness and run 100w/100w 9005/9005. The difference is marginal in observed light output.

Faking HID is simply faking HID. If you want some serious lights for not a whole lot of money, find your nearest Hella dealer and see what they can do you for. Personaly I'd take 400w of power with the brights on over 220w of power witht he brights on. The big problem here is unless you're willing to lay out some serious money to push either more watts or more current or more candlepower you are not going to get more light. You will be able to timt it any color you want but you won't get more usable light.
