Resonator removal on 740i

Hmmm I was thinking of removing the resonator on my 740i.
But i'm just worried it'll sound like ass.

Anyone know how it'll sound with no resonator and stock muffler?
Is it even worth it?

My friend owns a muffler shop and he's willing to do it for me for free. Cut and remove resonator and new piping from cat to stock muffler.

My buddy has a 99 E38 and did it with his ACS exhaust system and it sounds Great ...

I cut mine out of the X5 .. also runnin ACS exhaust. Sounds BAD AS$!!

shouldn't be to much of a increase in exhaust noise cuz your gonna be running the stock muffler whiche does a good job of keeeping that boy quiet

it will just be louder then stock but its not gonna be performance loud or ricer loud

cool because california cops (especially bay area) cops are anal about exhaust noise.

i'm eventually going to upgrade to a Remus muffler once I get the funds for it.

It will sound similar to a Mustang .. but not as loud. Just that nice v8 rumble.

3 an 1/2 inch Mandrell bent piping straight from the headers - no cats - and u will have the right sound.
