| M6 all the way - that thing is SWEET! I've seen guys run times at laguna that weren't matched by e34 m5's... theyr'e tunable, trackable, awesome to drive and pretty much a sleeper. --Dan |

| See the sig Need I say more? Actually, what you really want is a Euro spec. M635CSi. 30 more hp, about 300 lbs lighter and nice, small stylish Euro bumpers (not those monstrosities the US cars have). The M635CSi was a gray-market import, so be careful about how it was federalized.

| Let me get this straight. Your looking at an E28 M5 or E24 M6. Don't anyone take this the wrong way, but...why? Both are awesome cars, but the performance figures are average now and both cost a shit load to maintain. Neither one will handle like your E30! Dude, you should have kept your E30 and dropped in an M50. I did that and all my doubts went away. Next summer when I add a 2.8 block, 3.0 crank, and turbo, I'll have a 2,800 lb car with 50/50 balance and 400+ hp. Can you top that shit? You sold a light, trick ass e30 that just needed an M50 swap to be a perfect car.

| Sometimes it's all about class... Read this: Car and Driver article While I do love E30s, there's something about a big bimmer. FWIW, the M6 and M5, at the time, were faster than every other BMW. Sure, you can mod the crap out of an E30, but in the end the M5/M6 will have better resale. Oh yeah, they do cost more to maintain, just ask any E30 M3 driver, but oh the reward. Plus, they'll maintain their value and maybe even increase. But maybe I'm biased. ![]()

| I would go for the M5, I just love the looks of the e28. The maintainence prices on both would be the same, they're essentially the same car with a different chassis.
