6ers are beautiful and have their own little place in BMWs history. You gotta appreciate that about some Old School BMWs. It is THE only large coupe that I like or will ever like. The new six wiull be closer to an 8 series, than a 6, and be FAAAAAR too heavy to have the true agile tendencies that the original 6 had for being a larger coupe. Lets see some more pics!!!

I am selling mine for $2500. Its a great car but it has a lot of small creature comfort problems. They are really cool cars.

Another 635CSi here with a bit of interesting history behind it, 1981 build, 5-speed manual with the dog leg box... One of the first two to come into australia, brought in to 'test' the market and see how they would sell....

Did they choose to make it part of their line-up? Post pics when you get a chance.

We got the euro spec'd ones... Though you would be lucky to spot one these days, they really arent that common and all the others i have seen have been autos... Apparently ppl who could afford 6's back then didnt want to have to change gears... lol

I haven't had a look in here for a while.. do you have pics of your car?

When you say it's the first of 2 into australia, do you mean the first of 2 manuals? Cos I know of about 4 pre-1980 cars that are australian complied.

yep, when you were talking $120k back in those days you'd want the car to pretty much do everything!

Interesting, whats the VIN on that car ?

I have one of the 58 manuals that came to Australia in '86/'87, rare as hens teeth these days.

Cheers,
Iain
