 Chip upgrade for a 1989 635 CSI Got a friend who is interested in chipping his car or upgrading the ECU...any help????? thanks!

| From what I've been told the 635 M30 mill dosen't take well to chiping until you've got the schrick cam and the bad ass intake/exhaust combo and the computer just can't keep up. The 6's wear a pretty tight tune as it is. I'd advise yer'buddy to examine what the chip will do versus how much he'd take advantage of it. No sence in raising the rev limiter and playing with the timing if the current chip isen't holding him back. But this is of course just my opinion. If it were my money, I'd go with Dinan only becasue BMW sells Dinan Modded cars under full warenty.
