Guys & Gals,

I've been driving Bimmers for 12 or so years, recently (well November last year) managed to get myself a car I've always wanted, a 635CSi.

I've had a lot of help from people on the net, people here, people in other places, I like to give back where I can, so I want to help others, thought I'd start by creating a list of places for people to learn about E24s

lol I feel the pain of the 6 series owners with how limited online resources are. E32's don't happen to be much better.

Fortunately the E24 shares a lot with the E12 & E28 and the 5er guys have a lot of info on the web.

Its not quite like the stuff the 3er guys have, I read some of the stuff on e30.de and it blows my mind (and thats just the stuff in english, must learn german, if only for ebay.de)

I found something that might or might not help. It is a repair manual on cd put out by BMW Mobile Tradition. After having it for about two years, I finally got it to work on my computer. It seems to have quite a bit of knowledge on it. It is a repair manual for 6 series 75-89. Be fore warned!!! This program has it's querks, it doesn't like lots of ram. If you are running over 512mb. of ram you probably will get a "runtime error- out of memory" fault. Pull exter memory and try it, it worked for me, good luck!!! Bill

Yeah I've heard about that cd & the problem with >512mb ram.

I read about it somewhere, but I can't remember where

I'll have another look at the usual suspects sometime soon, going for a drive down the coast tomorrow so it'll probably come to me while I'm on the road and unable to check it or write it down, well thats just how my mind works
