These are Hella DE Colorline "black look" (basically smoked) ellispoids.I have them on both E30s. I know they have them for the E34 as well. I also know they can be retrofitted into any car with 5 1/4" headlights but thats can be a PITA. Im gonna try and tap my old school chronies for info on that. I know theres a way to get them with not that much hardship since us E30 guys are looking for the same shit. Ill see what I can dig up. Euro ellips with smileys ROCK!!! You can easily get the stock euro ellipsoids that have the smileys in them and look just as good, IMO. Ill try and see about all of this. From one Old School Bimmerhead to another,

It looks like next weekend at the earliest for the doner car. The guy is out of town and The money isn't here yet. Things like the lights are a ways off. Phase one is going to get engine and trans swapped. Get it running first and looking good second. I am going to dig it out of the back of the shop this weekend and clean the inch of dust off of it.
